As a retail shop, the Z-3051BT wireless handheld laser scanner is a handy device for our inventory purpose. Our shop displays a variety of clothing and shoes. When we want to check for customers whether there is stock available, we use Z-3051 wireless scanner without entering the storeroom. Just push the trigger once and we send the signal to the base station connected to our database system. As we program different beep tones for different stock statuses, we can easily identify whether the item is available by the audio feedback. The different tones also help inventory management. For example, the scanner gives a special tone when the stock of an item is below 20 units; it gives another tone when the stock is below 10.

The scanner works perfectly with our inventory check system. Its wireless signal with a working range up to 100 meters ensures data transmission in good condition. Furthermore, wireless means no clumsy and lengthy cable restraining the mobility of the staff in the shop. Our staff does not need to go to the storeroom to check the item’s availability every time when there’s customer request and working efficiency has been improved greatly.

We are pleased with the scanning sensitivity as well. The first good read rate is pretty satisfactory and the signal picked up by the base station and returns instantly. The base station is also a convenient recharger. The scanner would give a warning beeping when in low power and we can recharge the batteries inside the scanner whenever we find necessary. So we never worry the scanner would be out of power while working.
